PMAB in 10 Minutes
The entire framework compressed into one read. For anyone starting from scratch.

The Three Moves
1
Remove seed oils. This is the first and most important step. Canola, soybean, sunflower, safflower, corn, grapeseed — all out. Cook with butter, tallow, or coconut oil. Read every label. This single change eliminates the most damaging input in the modern diet.
2
Build around ruminant meat and dairy. Ground beef, butter, whole milk, eggs, aged cheese. These are your daily foods. Eat until satisfied. Don't count calories or limit fat.
3
Add ripe fruit and honey for carbohydrates. OJ daily. Mango, watermelon, berries, bananas. Honey freely. This supports thyroid hormone conversion — don't restrict carbs from whole fruit sources.
Add These Weekly
·
Beef liver — 3–4 oz, once or twice. Nature's multivitamin.
·
Oysters — 4–6, canned or fresh. Highest zinc food available.
·
Bone broth — homemade, salted, daily if possible. Glycine from gelatin balances methionine from muscle meat.
That's the core. Everything else is refinement. Most people feel meaningfully different within 2–3 weeks of doing just these three things.
📅
Day One
What Do I Eat Tomorrow?
A concrete day of eating for someone starting PMAB for the first time.
+
A Sample PMAB Day
Morning
8 oz fresh-squeezed OJ with a tablespoon of gelatin stirred in. Coffee with whole milk and a teaspoon of honey. 3 eggs scrambled low and slow in butter, topped with aged cheddar.
Lunch
Ground beef (5–6 oz) cooked in tallow, seasoned with salt. Half a cup of white rice cooked in bone broth. A cup of ripe mango or watermelon on the side.
Snack
A glass of whole milk with a teaspoon of honey and a pinch of salt. Or a plate of aged cheese with medjool dates.
Dinner
Ribeye or lamb chops cooked in tallow. Boiled potato with butter and salt. A cup of bone broth to drink alongside.
Evening
A small bowl of ice cream (cream, milk, sugar, eggs — read the label) or a cup of milk with honey.
This looks like a lot of food. It is. You should eat until satisfied — calorie restriction is not part of this framework. Your metabolism needs fuel to run well.
💰
Budget
PMAB on $75/Week
The framework on a tight budget. Ground beef and eggs are your anchors.
+
Budget Staples — Weekly Shopping
·
3 lbs ground beef (~$15–18) — Daily protein anchor. 80/20 is cheaper and fattier — correct choice.
·
1 dozen eggs (~$5) — Daily. Conventional is fine as a budget measure; upgrade to pasture-raised when you can.
·
1 gallon whole milk (~$5) — Daily staple. Generic store brand is fine.
·
1 lb butter (~$5) — Kerrygold is worth the extra $1–2 for K2. Otherwise generic.
·
Seasonal fruit (~$12) — Buy what's ripe and on sale. Bananas, oranges, watermelon, mangoes are consistently cheap.
·
Potatoes 5 lb bag (~$4) — Best budget starch. Boiled in salted water.
·
Canned smoked oysters 2–3 tins (~$8) — Crown Prince brand. Zinc anchor for the week.
·
Raw honey small jar (~$8) — Lasts 2–3 weeks. Use as primary sweetener.
·
Beef bones for broth (~$5) — Ask the butcher — often cheap or free. Make a batch Sunday.
Liver is the highest-ROI food in the framework. 1 lb of beef liver costs ~$4–6 and covers a week of organ meat needs. It's also the food most people avoid — which keeps the price low.

Store Guide
PMAB at Costco
The best Costco finds for this framework. Bulk buying cuts cost significantly.
+
Always Buy
·
Kirkland grass-fed ground beef (3 lb packs) — Best per-lb price on grass-fed. Freeze in portions.
·
Kirkland pasture-raised eggs (24 pk) — Consistently cheapest pasture-raised option.
·
Kerrygold butter (3-pack) — Grass-fed, K2-rich. Best price per pound outside of wholesale.
·
Aged cheddar or parmesan block — Cheap per ounce, long shelf life, K2 content.
·
Wild Alaskan sockeye salmon (frozen) — Decent price for wild-caught. Limit to 1–2x/week.
·
Organic manuka or raw honey (large jar) — Bulk honey for daily use pays off quickly.
·
Organic frozen mango chunks — Convenient, ripened at peak, no prep.
·
Collagen peptides (large tub) — Great Lakes or similar. Stir into coffee or OJ daily.
·
Organic coconut oil (large jar) — Refined for cooking, virgin for other uses.
Check Labels First
·
Any prepared food — seed oils hide in almost every Costco prepared product
·
Rotisserie chicken — often contains soybean oil in the seasoning blend
·
Trail mixes and nut blends — usually roasted in seed oils
🔄
Transition
Coming from Keto or Carnivore
The key shifts when transitioning from low-carb or strict carnivore into PMAB.
+
What Changes
Add fruit back gradually. Start with OJ (4–6 oz) and ripe banana. Many people coming from keto experience brief energy swings — this normalizes within 1–2 weeks as liver glycogen replenishes.
Add dairy if you removed it. Whole milk and butter first. Test hard cheese before soft. Raw milk if available in your state.
Reduce emphasis on fat-only eating. PMAB combines fat with sugar from fruit and dairy — not fat alone. The combination is different from keto in metabolic effect.
Carnivore to PMAB: The main addition is fruit and dairy. Keep all the meat. Add organs if you weren't already eating them. Fruit and honey are the primary carbohydrate sources — not grains.
Both keto and carnivore eliminate seed oils — so if you're coming from there, the most important PMAB principle is already handled. The shift is about adding pro-metabolic carbohydrates back, not undoing everything else.

Lifestyle
PMAB for Families
Feeding kids and partners who aren't fully on board. What works, what doesn't.
+
The PMAB Family Anchors
·
Ground beef is the universal win. Tacos, burgers, bolognese, rice bowls — all PMAB-compatible and kid-friendly.
·
Whole milk instead of alternatives. Kids should be drinking whole milk anyway. This is one of the easiest household switches.
·
Cook everything in butter or tallow. Doesn't change the flavor in a way anyone notices. Eliminates the most damaging ingredient passively.
·
Fruit is kid-friendly by default. Mango, watermelon, berries — this is one framework principle that requires zero convincing for children.
·
Hide liver in ground beef. Blend 2–4 oz of raw liver into a pound of ground beef — disappears completely into the flavor. Weekly liver dose, zero resistance.
One Change at a Time
1
Switch all cooking oils to butter/tallow — invisible change, huge impact
2
Whole milk replaces skim or 2% — easy sell for most families
3
Add more beef to existing meals — expand portions, reduce processed sides
4
Replace packaged snacks with fruit, cheese, and whole milk
